An edge protection system (also known as a fall arrest system) is a safety system used to protect building and construction edges, technical openings (e.g. lifts), roof edges, access routes and other areas where there is a risk of falling from height. It can be used as a fence or barrier with the main purpose of preventing people or machines from falling from heights, while its robust bottom section also prevents debris from falling and injuring people below.
